Luan Luu is a fashion, portrait and fine art photographer who grew up and resides in New York City. He studied fine art throughout his elementary years, and Design Marketing while at Parsons School of Design.
He’s currently a Professional member of the American Society of Media Professionals (ASMP); and was the Director of Photography & Information Technology for United Colors of Fashion Academy. UCOF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that mentors under-resourced youth in the New York City area about the fashion industry through hands-on training. The core mission of UCOF is Empowering Youth Through Fashion Education. Fashion Education offered by UCOF Academy is completely free.
He was also on the board of American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP) as the National Communications & Technology Chair, and a former member of the Con Artist Collective.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder – his favorite is taking candid shots, catching that moment of unexpectedness with ambient lighting. His eye to bring out something special in his subjects can be seen through-out his work.
Art has always been his passion – from photography, graphic design, to crafting. He hopes that everyone enjoys his vision as much as he does creating them.
